When Fatima Cried

When Fatima cried
the earth did shake
the mountains moved
the dead did wake

When Fatima cried
the leaves fell down
the sun forgot
the moon did frown

When Fatima cried
the rivers overflowed
the grass turned brown
the stars did not show

When Fatima cried
every heart did break
for her tears were more
than we could take

When Fatima cried
the sky did fall
the wind did stop
the darkness did call

But Fatima cried on and on
tears of sorrow
tears of pain
tears of heartache
covered by rain

For when Fatima cried
the earth shed blood
the wind howled
and the rivers did flood
