Islam vs. Terrorism

Terrorists have created an image far from the reality of Islam. Killing the innocent is strictly forbidden in Islam. Almighty Allah has stated in the Holy Quran,

Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (A.S.) in Iraq

PDFPrintE-mail

Imam Jafar Al-Sadiq (A.S.)

The skillful policy of the Abbasids destroyed the authority of banu Marwan (the Sons of Marwan), prevented al- Hasan and al- Husayn from gaining victory and stopped the idea of the Imamate from spreading among men for al- Hasan and al- Husayn. But they (ban Marwan) made grave fault when they practiced terrorist policies against al- Sadiq, peace be on him. For example, they summoned him to come to Iraq several times. For this reason, they served the Imamate and revealed the importance of ahl al- Bayt very much.

32. Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said:
Do not care when you associate with the intelligent even if you are
deprived of his generosity. You may benefit by his intelligence, but be

generous even if you are deprived of benefiting by his intelligence. You
may benefit by his generosity for your mind. Escape as remote as

Imam Ali (A.S.)

Imam Ali (peace be upon him) said to Malik al-Ashtar:
O Malik, retain and understand the following wording: O Malik, the
owners of weak conviction are disregarding their personality. He
whoever takes greed as his slogan is disgracing himself. He whoever
publicizes his problem is satisfied with humility. He whoever shows
others his secrets is disrespecting himself.

PDFPrintE-mail

Imam Ali (A.S.)

One day Mu'awiyah was sitting with his associates and Ahnaf bin Qays was also present. In the meantime a Syrian came and began delivering a speech. At the end of his speech he abused Imam al-Muttaqeen (Leader of the Pious), Ali (as). Thereupon Ahnaf bin Qays said to Mu'awiyah: "Sir! If this man comes to know that you are pleased if the prophets are cursed, he will curse them also. Fear Allah (SWT) and don't bother about Imam Ali (as) any longer. He has since met his Lord. He is now alone in his grave and only his acts are with him. I swear by Allah (SWT) that his sword was very pure and his dress too was very clean and neat. His tragedy is great". The following conversation then took place between him and Mu'awiyah:
