Birth Anniversary of Imam Al-Ridha (AS)

“ Our congratulations to you on the Anniversary of Birth of Imam Reza (A.S)”.

On the 11th Zi2adah of year 148 A.H. from a mother, called Najmeh, and respected father, Imam Musa Kazem (A.S), a son was born who was a sign and symbol of divine kindness to the people of the world.
His behavior, and communication with other people was very kindful. His knowledge about religious and intellectual subjects was so profound, that he had always decisive and reasonable answers to the frequent questions of the scientist and philosophers of other religions. When he was very young, he ascended to the pulpit of the holy Prophet (S.A), and preached to people and answered their Islamic questions.
Imam Ali Ibn Musa Al Reza (A.S) in 200 A.H., moved to Khorasan, and resided in Marv city. He defended the limits of Quran, dignity of prophet and his respected family (A.S), and neutralized all the plots of Mamoun.
Mamoun, several times and in different situations had announced that Imam Reza (A.S) was the most wisdom, worshipper, and pious man at that time (and this is brought in many reputable historical books).
In this very blessed occasion of birthday of “ The sun of Toos”, it is suitable to have a look at our religious and spiritual heritage, and take an advice from this holy Imam. He said:
“ Oh, do not give up the prays to the Almighty God and good behavior, and just be hopeful to your good relation with the respected family of the Prophet (S.A).”
